Savings
The V.A. Credit Union offers a wide variety of savings products to meet all of your financial needs.
Share Accounts
This is the basic membership account entitling you to use the products and services of the credit union. A minimum balance is required to open and must be maintained in this account, unless a minor and the account qualifies as a Kid's Club Account.
Holiday Clubs
This account allows you to save throughout the year to pay for those holiday expenses.
Vacation Clubs
This account allows you to save for that dream vacation, whether you plan one every year or in the future, start saving today.
Escrow Accounts
This account is for our first mortgage holders to save throughout the year to pay their homeowners insurance and their property tax bill.
Kids Club Accounts
This account is for kids under the age of 18 to encourage them to save their money.
Autopay Accounts
This account is set up for people who have their mortgage with someone other than the V.A. Credit Union. We set up this account and deduct your mortgage payment biweekly into this account and send your payment in on a monthly basis. Since there are two extra payments in the account, we send a 13th payment to your mortgage holder each year on your behalf. This will make a dramatic effect, shortening your mortgage.
Share Certificates
Share Certificates earn dividends based on the opening balance and the term invested. V.A. Credit Union offers terms ranging from 3 months to 5 years, which allows members to earn higher annual percentage yields. A Share Certificate is a great way to accumulate money for your child's education, retirement or vacations.
IRA's
It's never too soon to start saving . . .
V.A. Credit Union Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA's) are designed to help you build a more financially secure future and help you plan for your retirement. As a customer, you have three IRAs to choose from: Traditional, Roth or the Coverdell Educational Savings Account (ESA). You also have three different investment vehicles: IRA Savings account, IRA Share Certificates, or Market Index Certificate (which is based on S&P 500, but you can never lose your original investment).
Money Market
A Money Market Account from V.A. Credit Union is the perfect account for anyone seeking liquidity, security, convenience, and a higher annual percentage yield than a regular savings account. Start earning interest on your money market account with a minimum deposit of $2,500. A minimum deposit and withdrawal is required, as well as a maximum number of withdrawals allowed free per statement period.
Checking (Share draft) Accounts
We have competitive interest bearing checking accounts that have no monthly service charge if they receive a direct deposit of net pay.
Debit Cards
These cards are offered to our members that have checking accounts. They allow access to the funds in their account 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Gift Cards
VISA Gift Cards can be purchased in any denomination from $25 to $500. Great for students, teens, traveling, or as a gift for any occasion.
Electronic Bill Pay
We offer this service to our checking account holders. One Website, One Password, Pay All Your Bills. You can even schedule to pay your bills more than a month in advance.
